Uncover a murder mystery and interact with a variety of characters in this visual novel game inspired by the furry subculture #Visual novel #Murder mystery #Solve mystery #Novel #Murder #Mystery
Mysteries are always thrilling to solve, especially when you are not actually putting yourself in harm’s way by doing so. Adventure games allow you to experience the joy of unraveling secrets and ploys at your own pace, which is why they are so popular with gamers. Visual novels, on the other hand, are much more slow-paced and non-interactive, since you are merely a spectator most of the time.
Major\Minor is a visual novel game in which your task is to unravel a series of murders and find the one responsible. The game is a bit more interactive than regular visual novels, mainly because you have more choices to make along the way. It is also possible to form bonds with a variety of characters and get to know them better, as well as alter your relationship with them depending on your actions.
The story talks about strange murders and suicides that happen all over the country, all of which share one key aspect: they all happen exactly at midnight. Your role is that of a contest winner that’s about to travel the world in the company of a famous pop star, but your plans change once you get dragged into the mystery of the Midnight Deaths. It’s not a very complicated plot, but it’s pretty long and intricate in certain aspects.
Another thing that’s worth considering is that the game is based on the furry subculture, which means that the characters are actually animals designed to look like humans. They talk and act like regular people, but their appearance is actually a combination of animals and humans. Naturally, this might not appeal to everyone, especially since it doesn’t make too much sense to someone who’s not familiar with the subculture.
As far as the choices you get to make along the way, they almost always affect the plot in one way or another. You can also influence characters with the decisions you make, although most of the time it’s only their opinion of you that fluctuates. The visual quality is pretty decent, at least when it comes to character design and general artwork.
Given the fact that your choices can lead you to a variety of different endings, Major\Minor can be replayed a couple of times to do things differently. However, the plot is not very original, so it might not matter too much in the end.
