While there are no memorable events or characters, it’s still a good idea to give players a purpose throughout the game.

The adventure is also structured into multiple difficulty levels, all of which have to be unlocked by passing the previous stages. Obviously, they gradually get more difficult as you manage to advance, but there are plenty of ways to make sure you do not lose. One of them is the ability to reshuffle the tiles, which is achieved with a single press of a button. Granted, you need to have an active shuffle power-up for it to work.

As for the graphics, you shouldn’t hope for anything too extravagant, especially since you’ll be much busier trying to find all the right tiles. However, the artwork is not bad either, and the visual quality in general is quite decent. The different tile themes are very well done, and you can completely change the mood of the game with them.

When it’s all said and done, Mahjong Magic Journey 2 may suffer from a lack of original ideas, but it’s still a great option for those who enjoy the traditional Chinese game. Thus, the over one hundred levels should keep you busy for a long time.
