MTB Downhill Simulator Demo
Keep your balance and go down the slope as quickly as possible in this thrilling MTB simulator #Mountain bike #MTB simulator #Downhill race #Mtb #Sim #Simulator
Mountain bikes are designed to be as resistant as possible to shocks and hits, but that still leaves the rider that needs to worry about his safety. Downhill races are quite exciting to watch, but they are very dangerous for the riders, even if they wear a lot of protective gear. Most of these races take place in forests, where it’s difficult to concentrate on the path due to all the vegetation.
MTB Downhill Simulator is a game in which you get to be a part of the sport without having to put yourself in harm’s way. In fact, you don’t even need a lot of training to get started, but you may need plenty of patience in order to keep playing. The game is rather early in its development stage right now, but even so, there are quite a few gameplay issues that need to be resolved.
To begin with, each level challenges you to make it to the end, although there is no timer rushing you. Most of the race is downhill, but there are ramps you must build a bit of momentum for, otherwise you won’t be able to pass them. You also need to get familiar with the mechanics, because the bike is rather difficult to control and steer. There are also a few problems with the camera, because you cannot really see ahead because of it.
It is also impossible to move the camera around, which means that you are stuck with the same badly chose point of view for the entire duration of the demo. You can work around the issue by popping wheelies, which raises the camera just enough to get a better look at the track ahead. Sometimes it doesn’t really matter, because you can get stuck in objects by simply running into them.
The controls are quite jumpy as well, meaning that you cannot really break just a little or turn the front wheel a few degrees. Each time you try to steer it feels like you are trying to make a U-turn, and it really drives the fun out of the experience. As previously mentioned, on the other hand, the game is not yet complete, so these issues can still be fixed in future versions.
MTB Downhill Simulator is pretty far from a perfect game right now, but it shows potential. The level design is quite nice, and with a small graphics upgrade it could also become a lot prettier. However, the plethora of bugs and camera issues need to be fixed first.
