Lost Artifacts: Golden Island is a time management game in which you play the role of an adventurer who gets in a plane crash and lands on an apparently uninhabited island. The goal of the game is to solve levels by collecting resources, restoring pathways and repairing buildings, which should be familiar to you if you happen to be a fan of the genre.

As mentioned before, the story revolves around Claire, a brave adventurer who ends up on a strange island after a plane crash. However, it turns out that the island is actually home to a village of Atlanteans, and they ask for Claire’s help in order to get their homeland back from a nasty underwater villain. Thus, your goal is to help the Atlanteans rebuild Atlantis and defeat the monster in the deep.

It’s worth noting that every stage has a unique objective, given the fact that you either have to collect a certain amount of resources, restore buildings or collect a plethora of powerful artifacts. This keeps you from getting bored most of the time, but then again all of these objectives boil down to the same mechanics in the end. Thus, it’s all about running around the map in order to clear the road to the next objective.

The difficulty level is not that high, but then again you do have the possibility to play with a time limit in case you want something with a bit of chest hair. As for the graphics, they are slightly outdated for this day and age, especially when compared to other time management flicks, but then again the visual style is rarely important in the genre anyway.

Lost Artifacts: Golden Island is not that different from every other time management game out there, but it gets the job done in terms of challenge and adventure.
