In fact, the developers from Craze Creative Studios have a very specific name for it, which is "casual turn-based retro style roguelike dungeon crawler with elements of strategy". You simply can’t get any more precise than this in a description. They covered pretty much anything that they might have used when they built their game.

When the developers are saying that it's a TBS they are not messing around. It’s a game built on Java, which is weird enough, and it has a very minimalist interface. Don’t expect to see anything more than numbers, a simply rendered level, and some pictures of creatures. If you’re looking for something with exciting graphics you’ve come to wrong place.

Depending on the difficult, new players get a sum of money which they can spend on various items. You won’t be able to get everything, so you need to focus on a class that you want to play.

You then reach the actual levels, which are procedurally generated and different each time you start a new game. You move about the map and when you encounter enemies you just double click on them to attack. It’s not overly complicated, but they are other things that you need to take into consideration.

The levels are full of traps, so investing in a skill that helps you detect them early on might be a good thing. Also, the game has permadeath, which means that if you die you won’t be able to return. The demo version is not all that long, but you will be able to experience death many times.
