Monsters always seem to make an appearance in the worst possible moments, since you can almost expect a demon or something to appear during an important event in the plot. However, they also bite their time at first, since even though they have many opportunities to kill everyone, they prefer to engage in threats and banter, while also underestimating the heroes coming for them.

Living Legends: Uninvited Guests is yet another installment in the popular hidden object adventure series Living Legends, and this time the action takes you to a beautiful castle. Although the story has changed, the gameplay mechanics are pretty much the same, so you can jump straight into the adventure without having to learn new things or deal with different controls.

The story starts when your cousin Leo announces that he is about to get married, so he invites you to his castle in order to attend the wedding. As soon as you reach it, on the other hand, it turns out that some kind of monster is terrorizing everyone in the castle. Thus, it is your job to make sure everyone escapes with their life and that the monster is dealt with once and for all.

As mentioned before, the mechanics are hardly any different from what you may have experienced in the previous episodes. Hence, you have to examine every scene in order to pick up useful items, which can then be used to solve puzzles or unlock various doors. There are also many fun mini-games along the way, each one of which is designed to test your precision, your memory or your ability to think quickly.

The graphics are top-notch for a casual game, especially when it comes to the artwork. Every scene is incredibly detailed and immersive, in spite of the fact that you are forced to look at it from a fixed perspective. The cutscenes can be bit wonky and immersion-breaking, but then again the technology used to create them is very basic as well. There’s also voice acting for every character, which certainly helps with the overall atmosphere too.

Living Legends: Uninvited Guests should deliver the kind of experience you have come to expect from the series, and the puzzles can be pretty challenging as well. Thus, this should make a fine addition to your collection.
