Wishing wells and various other similar legends exist all over the world, and people usually enjoy to come up with such myths. However, it’s quite scary to think about what would happen if such wells would actually grant wishes, given the fact that are plenty of bad people out there as well. Hence, most of them probably wouldn’t wish for a new bike.

Living Legends: Bound by Wishes Collector's Edition is a hidden object adventure game in which you have to solve puzzles by finding all sorts of useful objects around the environment. Most of these objects are pretty well hidden, hence the name of the genre, but others are just out in the open, waiting for you to notice them. There are more difficult puzzles as well, but nothing like in a true adventure game.

The story is quite simple and easy to follow, which is great for casual players. As such, you play the role of a woman whose husband disappeared in a town called Wishville. Naturally, this town is believed to be powerful and magic, because people who enter it can ask for whatever they wish. Hence, you must enter it as well and search for your husband, while also unraveling a few other mysteries along the way.

As mentioned before, the puzzles are not necessarily difficult, but they can take a bit of time to solve. Most of them require you to use trial and error in order to move pieces around until everything is aligned properly, but there are exceptions as well. Granted, in the Casual mode you can just press the skip button and forget about the entire puzzle, although you lose valuable game time by doing so.

The graphics are about as simple as you might expect, at least from a technical point of view. Thankfully, the artwork is sublime, and there are more than enough breathtaking vistas to admire as you explore Wishville. Even the awkward cutscenes can be pretty beautiful if you look past the stiff character animations, and it’s a lot better if you have the sound turned on.

With all this being said, Living Legends: Bound by Wishes Collector's Edition is certainly a very polished hidden object game. Hence, if you are a fan of the genre and you are looking for something new, this should definitely be on your list.
