League of Light: Edge of Justice Collector's Edition
Stop an evil artist from terrorizing a town in this mystery game with hidden object adventure elements #League of light #Adventure game #Puzzle game #Puzzle #Adventure #Mystery
Revenge is a common theme in many stories, and it usually concerns the antagonist, given the fact that the sentiment as a whole is not seen as something good people would harbor. Hence, most villains are upset about something and they are actively trying to get back at someone, although by doing so they are affecting a whole town, or even the world.
League of Light: Edge of Justice is a hidden object game with relatively simple gameplay mechanics, in which you have to solve a mystery, tackle puzzles and follow the bad deeds of a villain trying to bring a town to its knees. There are no major new ideas when it comes to how the puzzles are approached, and the hidden object sequences are pretty classic as well, but at least you do this in a new environment. As such, the story revolves around the city of Hamelin, which was once saved from a rat plague by a clever flutist. Unfortunately, the townspeople refused to show any gratitude to him, and he left pretty upset. Naturally, he returns after a few years bent on destruction, and it is up to you to put an end to his plans and save the city of Hamelin once again, preferably without asking for anything in return.
The puzzles are pretty varied as well, depending on whether you are a veteran of the genre or not. Most of them are not particularly original, given the fact that you are required to unlock containers and find patterns that allow you to advance. There are some interesting additions too, but the adventure should feel pretty familiar to HOPA fans. Since the action takes place in a classic medieval town, the atmosphere and the environments are nothing out of the ordinary, but it’s nice to see how much attention the designers paid in terms of background detail and object quality. Most of the objects are hand-drawn and neatly placed into the game, and the soundtrack completes the atmosphere quite neatly.
Even if League of Light: Edge of Justice is not a revolutionary game in the mechanics department, it certainly has the spark required to keep you entertained for a few hours. Hence, the fans of the genre should be more than happy with this episode of the franchise.
