Land Of The Dead: Road to Fiddler's Green Demo
You play Jack, a simple farmer who must rise beyond fear, and battle your way through hordes of terrifying undead #Land Of The Dead #Road to Fiddler's Green #Zombie fps #Fps #Zombie #Road
During the last few decades, the pile of zombie corpses has risen substantially, especially since Hollywood rediscovered their potential and spawned countless flicks featuring the undead plot generator. Moreover, video games are now graphic enough to provide you with the ultimate zombie apocalypse experience, complete with dark corridors and an extensive collection of weapons.
Land Of The Dead: Road to Fiddler's Green takes an old formula and refurbishes it to fit today's standards, by adding realistic graphics and more than enough tools you can use to kill the zombies for a second time. As you probably deducted from the title, the game is based on the classic George A. Romero film, taking most of its ideas and settings from the movie and topping it all off with interactivity.
Thus, the story follows Jack, a God's honest farmer who's not afraid to spread a few bullets around when faced with the undead army. Throughout his journey, he happens to stumble upon a curios man named Mr. Kaufman, who holds reign over a fortified city called Fiddler's Green, which is the last haven of humanity. Naturally, you want to join them, but you are required to pass a few tests firsts, since nothing is that easy, especially not when armageddon is in progress.
Gameplay-wise, the game acts like any other shooter, only with zombies posing as the enemy. Thus, you find various weapons spread around the levels, which can be used to unleash the desired amount of violence upon the horde. Beside the usual pistols, shotguns and automatic rifles, you can also find slightly more intimate weapons, such as golf clubs, shovels and pipes, all of which can be used as a last resort when you run out of bullets.
Unlike what you may think, you do run out of bullets quite quickly and the ammunition is not that easy to find, leaving you unable to go through the missions with the automatic mode activated on your machine gun. Hence, you are forced to be more cautious and preserve the ammo, especially since you fall pretty fast if you happen to be attacked by multiple foes at once. The zombies, on the other hand, have different abilities they can use to make your life worse, some of which are even capable of wielding melee weapons in response to yours.
In the end, Land Of The Dead: Road to Fiddler's Green is all about survival, since all you have to do throughout the missions is kill everything that moves and make it out alive at the other end. Other than that, the storytelling may not impress, but the plot is presented well enough to keep you interested for the entire duration of the game.
