Italian Championships Demo
An arcade racing simulator that features a variety of tracks and a challenging AI to compete against #Italian championship #Drive car #Win race #Italian #Championship #Drive
The Italians are pretty well known for their skills as race drivers, not to mention the fact that they manufacture legendary cars like Ferrari and Lamborghini. Hence, it should not come as a surprise that they also have a variety of internal championships, all of which feature the best drivers in the country giving it their best in order to make the races as exciting as possible.
Italian Championships is a game that aims to portray these competitions and give you the chance to challenge the opposing drivers, in order to push the cars to their limits and have a bit of fun along the way as well. Moreover, you can also admire a variety of landscapes and tracks as you enter different tournaments, each one of which comes with specific challenges and a varying difficulty level.
To start off with, it is worth mentioning that, although there are around ten tracks available, only one car model can be driven, which is not very exciting. You can, however, oscillate between seven different versions of the same car, but that does hold the same amount of excitement as a larger line-up of vehicles would. Thankfully, the car is quite detailed, at least when you consider the rest of the game and the weak graphics engine used to render everything.
Obviously, the arcade nature of the game means that you should not expect any kind of realism out on the track, despite the game's hints toward the accurate physics engine. Your car is capable of maintaining the same speed or even accelerate at all times, even if you happen to leave the tarmac and your wheels are theoretically half-deep in the mud and vegetation.
The only inertia signs can be observed in turns, although it appears and disappears in a few milliseconds and you should not worry about entering a corner at a high speed. Crashing into objects has no effect whatsoever, regardless of the velocity and the angle at which you happen to greet the wall. Fortunately, the AI is pretty challenging and keeps you on your toes, although that is mainly because it is programmed to never make mistakes, which makes it difficult to take seriously in the end.
There are very few good things about Italian Championships, none of which are important enough to excuse the rest of the blunders and improve the gameplay. Hence, unless you are on the lookout for a very relaxed racing game with no replay value and a single car, there aren't too many reasons to stick with this title.
