Humanity is constantly evolving when it comes to technology, so we can be certain that things are bound to be more exciting as time passes by. Cloning things is not a reality yet, or at least not how we see it in sci-fi movies. Hence, that and teleportation are still on the to-do list when it comes to cool things humanity needs in order to be complete.

Infinity Inc. is an action-platformer designed in a retro style, in which your goal is to solve puzzles by jumping, shooting things and creating clones on demand. Most of your time is spent exploring simple levels and dealing with various traps, but it’s also important to make good use of your cloning ability in order to tackle the puzzles.

The story is not particularly impressive, but it’s interesting enough to keep you engaged, or at least mildly amusing. Obviously, it’s quite fun to use the cloning ability and come up with solutions to various puzzles, not to mention the fact that you also have to deal with a variety of other traps. The level design is nice enough to pose a challenge, but also quite simple at the same time.

As mentioned before, guns are fairly important as well, although you mostly used it in order to bypass various obstacles in the road. Hence, there are all sorts of blocks that can be destroyed, and some have pretty devastating effects once they detonate. Speaking of which, you can sacrifice one of the clones in any way you want, and it is actually required to do so in certain cases.

Thankfully, you seem to have an infinite supply of them, although it’s only possible to have one clone out at a time. As for the graphics, they are not bad at all, but they are still designed to look retro, so don’t expect hi-resolution textures or new-age post-processing effects. Thankfully, at least the controls are very snappy and responsive, which is very important in a platformer.

In the end, Infinity Inc. is quite the adventure if you like platformers with a sci-fi twist, but it’s not quite done yet. Hence, it needs a lot more content in order to be released as a full game, and you can support the developer by participating in the game’s IndieGoGo campaign or by voting for it on Steam Greenlight.
