Before starting to play Hockey Nations Powerplay you will be able to choose one of the six available game modes that will give you the chance to test your skills. From Exhibition matches and NHL playoffs to the World League, you will have lots of content to try out.

While in Exhibition mode you will have to choose two teams and play a quick match, if you choose the Playoffs mode, you will be able to select one of the 40 available city teams and try to win the division's title.

In addition to that, for the ultimate challenge, you can choose one of the two International game modes that will give you the chance to win the ultimate hockey title.

Besides this wide range of choices regarding game modes, the title also packs 40 customizable hockey teams from both the Eastern and Western divisions as well as 18 international teams.

During a match you can also change your offense and defense strategies to suit your playing style as well as putting pressure on your opponents using the three available options: attacking, standard, or defensive.
