Heart's Medicine: Time to Heal Collector's Edition
Work in a hospital and take care of patients in this exciting time management game #Time management #Puzzle game #Casual game #Medicine #Doctor #Surgeon
Medicine is not the kind of passion that comes and goes, because it requires decades of study in order to be able to practice it legally. Granted, not all doctors get to do brain surgery or anything more complicated than a prescription and a consult, but even those require you to understand how the human body works and what kind of treatment is recommended for a wide variety of conditions.
Heart's Medicine: Time to Heal is a time management game in which you get to take care of patients and even perform a variety of delicate interventions in order to cure sick people and bring them back on their feet. Although it’s not a revolution in the genre, it must be mentioned that the developers managed to make the gameplay very fun and enjoyable.
As such, you play the role of a surgeon by the name of Allison Heart, who’s leaving quite the romantic drama at her workplace. On top of that, she is also involved in a serious ambulance accident in which she was treating her lover of a pretty bad wound. Throughout the story you get to find out how everything got to that point, and it’s not nearly as grim as it starts out.
You start by taking care of a small cabinet where you must consult people and provide them with simple medical care, but then evolve pretty quickly along the way. In fact, some bonus levels even allow you to play as Emily from the other famous time management series, so boredom is certainly not on the menu. Many mini-games are part of the equation as well, even if they are rather short and way too simple sometimes.
The graphics are certainly colorful, not to mentioned detailed and quite smooth when it comes to animations and particle effects. They are still pretty flat and unimpressive from a technical point of view, but then again there’s no need for flashy tech when the gameplay is so fun. Moreover, the soundtrack is very jolly as well, and it goes amazingly well with the action on the screen.
When it’s all said and done, Heart's Medicine: Time to Heal is more than capable to keep you occupied for a few hours, especially if you enjoy a challenge. Things get tougher later on, so it’s certainly not a walk in the park either.
