Hallowed Sanctum Demo
Battle ghosts and free your town of evil in this simplistic role-playing game with basic graphics #Role-playing game #Battle ghost #RPG adventure #Sanctum #Ghost #Role-play
In some cases, it can be enough to focus on a specific aspect of your video game to provide the players with a memorable experience. However, the rest of the elements need to uphold at least a few minimum quality standards, otherwise people get distracted by the bad parts. On the other hand, there are also those that forget to focus on anything and manage to get everything wrong.
Hallowed Sanctum is a role-playing game in which you play the role of a guy who finds himself in the middle of a ghost invasion. Right off the bat, you should know that everything about the game is poorly executed and quite ugly, so don’t expect anything more than a few badly drawn environments and the occasional pointless encounter with a blob of lines and colors.
There is no story in sight, other than the ghosts that seem to have invaded the town for no good reason. Hence, your purpose in the game is never mentioned, which means that you just wander around aimlessly from map to map. You do stumble into the occasional dialog bubble every once so often, but they are badly written monologs instead, so you do not even have to bother reading them.
If the story is entirely absent and no effort whatsoever was put into the game world, then one could assume that at least the combat is fun and challenging. That’s not the case at all, unfortunately, because all you have to do whenever you run into an enemy is click on it. There are no dice rolls, no damage points, just a simple click that basically makes the foes disappear.
Plenty of bugs and technical errors accompany the game as well, including glitches that get you stuck in walls. In fact, you might get stuck every other couple of seconds, and there’s no way to break free unless you restart the game. The graphics are preposterous, and they should be the perfect example of why you need an artist to take care of this part.
Although it’s tough to consider yourself disappointed by something you never knew existed, Hallowed Sanctum deserves the effort. Hence, there’s absolutely no reason to ever touch this, regardless of how bored you happen to be.
