Four Eyes Demo
Travel through space and harbor an alien in this classic role-playing game with basic graphics #Role-playing game #Adventure game #Space exploration #Role-play #Adventure #Alien
Finding alien life is pretty high up on humanity’s to-do list at the moment, but we are obviously much more concerned about our own well-being and the near future, as it’s only normal. Whether we’ll find microbes on some nearby planet or an advanced civilization somewhere in the galaxy, any sign that we are not alone is going to be great news, at least at first.
Four Eyes is a casual role-playing game designed to be easy to play and quite straightforward in regards to the story and gameplay mechanics. It may not dazzle you with complex ideas and tough battles, but at least it’s pretty interesting and enjoyable. However, you need to be prepared to deal with the usual RPG Maker cliches and annoyances.
In short, you play the role of a boy by the name of Jett Sherazi, who is captain of a spaceship named Nightingale. This spaceship is designed to carry cargo, which means that it’s not at all equipped for combat or anything of the sort. The story starts when Jett finds an alien hiding on his ship, which is bad news, considering the fact that humans are at war with his kind.
Things go even worse than that, on the other hand, because Jett’s spaceship crashes on an unknown planet and leaves both his crew and the alien stranded. Thus, the whole story is about trying to learn about the alien and explore the planet in question, which is both interesting and dangerous at the same time. Naturally, there’s a bit of combat involved as well, but nothing serious or demanding.
As for the graphics, the game uses original sprites and character artwork, but the graphics should be familiar to everyone who’s played an RPG Maker title before. The tiles come in very low resolutions, not to mention the fact that certain puzzles require you to take hints from the environment, which is both annoying and frustrating. However, you can probably get past this part with enough patience.
All things considered, Four Eyes is not a bad game, but it doesn’t really impress through anything. It feels like your regular RPG Maker adventure, and it’s quite the shame, because the story can be expanded in a variety of intriguing ways.
