Forest Riddles is a puzzle game in which you have to fill grids with tiles and pay attention to the correct order, in order to obtain various objects and sketches. As the name clearly implies, the whole thing starts in a forest, where you must explore an ancient site and use the help of the fairies to navigate any obstacles. There are other landscapes to admire along the way, but the truth is that they get repetitive and boring quite fast. Thankfully, at least the puzzles change on a regular basis and there are no two grids that yield the same model at the end.

As for the gameplay, all you have to do is click on the desired tile in order to fill it, and the game tells you whether you are right or wrong. Each row and column has one or more numbers displayed near it, and you have to pay attention to these numbers in order to figure out how to fill the grid. It’s a lot tougher than it sounds after the grid gets bigger, especially since you are allowed a small number of mistakes per round.

The graphics are nothing to write home about, unfortunately, but then again they matter very little in a game such as this one. Most of the backgrounds are pretty detailed and moody, but there are too few of them anyway. The music is relaxing and quite nice, but it gets repetitive after a while, so you might as well put your own tracks to avoid boredom.

In the end, Forest Riddles is not a very original game, and it can get boring and repetitive after while. However, you can easily go back to it whenever you need something light to take your mind off things.
