Femida Demo
Use your reasoning to decide who's guilty and who's innocent in this unique role-playing game #Role-playing game #Judge game #Justice game #Justice #Lawyer #Judge
Being in charge of people’s lives is not an easy task, regardless of how much experience you have or how confident you are in your ability to come up with the right verdict every time. Hence, judges have a huge responsibility on their shoulders, especially if they have to tackle serious cases that usually end up with someone in prison for a very long time.
Femida is a unique video game in which you play the role of a judge who has the power to send people behind bars or declare them innocent and let them go without punishment. Thankfully, there are no actual ground rules when it comes to how you reach a verdict, which means that the story adapts to your choices and there are no game ending decisions.
The plot begins with the main character starting on his new job and listening to a message from his family. Since he struggles with money, it’s important that he keeps the job for as long as possible, which means that each case is important to him. Speaking of which, you receive one case at a time, and you get as much time as you want to study it and form an opinion on its details.
The next step regards the actual trial, where you get to ask each witness or suspect a maximum of three questions. There’s a list of possible questions, and you have to choose the ones that would provide you with the information you seek. Obviously, since there is no actual penalty for making the wrong choice, it feels a bit pointless, at least in the beginning.
As for the graphics, the game features a unique style when it comes to the artwork and the level design. It looks a bit like something from a vintage ad, but much cleaner and smoother. Obviously, there are no animations and nothing stressful for your graphics card. The soundtrack appears to be decent as well, at least the few tracks that are included with the demo.
In the end, Femida is not much of a game at the moment, but the idea is interesting enough to be worth more time in the lab. Hence, this could really turn out pretty well in the end.
