As long as the controls are simple and there are plenty of levels, people cannot resist the urge to come back again and again. On top of that, puzzles are even more exciting, because it’s always a rush to find the correct solution to a riddle you’ve been struggling with for a while.

EXIT is a deceptively simple-looking puzzle game in which the only goal is to move a couple of balls around a variety of mazes. In order to finish the level and move on, you have to put each ball in its correct slot, as well as make sure you do not get stuck along the way. It’s a very simple-to-understand formula, but it gradually gets more complex as you complete the stages.

Although you start with only one ball in the beginning, more are added along the way, and they come in different colors as well. Naturally, the slots have different colors too, so it’s obviously necessary to match the balls and the slots. Sometimes you might even have to use one of the balls as a stopper for another one, and it only gets more complex later on.

The only thing you need to do in order to move a ball is to click on it and drag it in the desired direction. It only stops when it encounters a wall or another ball, so there’s no way to change direction while it’s still rolling. Obviously, the controls are very simple and enjoyable, since all the work can be accomplished with a handful of clicks.

Lastly, the graphics are nothing to write home about, but they are a minor inconvenience in a game such as this one, because your attention is mostly aimed at the puzzles. The effects are actually quite decent, especially since the lighting is nice and the level design is on point. Not much can be said about the music either, but that too can be completely ignored.

In the end, EXIT is a very promising puzzle game, even if it lacks content at the moment. The developers promise more levels, even after the full version is released. Thus, there should be a few hours of entertainment at your disposal.
