In essence, Coralina is a young girl who wants to attend a prestigious ball, but she doesn’t have the proper gown to wear to such an event. Although her godmother has magic powers, she is unable to help too much with the problem, which is why Coralina goes on a mighty quest around the world in order to find a tailor and get her dream gown before it’s too late.

In case you choose the normal difficulty mode, each level features a limited number of moves you can make, which adds a bit of complexity to the whole thing. Thus, it’s important to look for combos and special power-ups in order to clear as many tiles as you can in a single move. Granted, you can also choose the relaxed mode and remove this aspect of the game entirely, although this can also make the action a tad too boring sometimes.

The power-ups are very helpful in either case, and they usually depend on whether you can match more than three tiles at once. They can even be arranged in an “L” pattern as well, which really opens up a lot of possibilities. As or the graphics, everything is as pink as you might imagine, given the theme of the game and the main character’s demeanor.

Dress Cake is challenging enough to keep you on your toes, especially in the later stages, but it’s also very rewarding if you put some thought into your moves. Hence, it’s a great choice for every match-three enthusiast out there.
