DragonScales 2: Beneath a Bloodstained Moon
Help Princess Claudine save the world from the forces of evil in this exciting match three puzzle game #Dragon scales #Match three #Puzzle game #Dragon #Scale #Match-3
Dragons are probably the most celebrated creatures when it comes to tales and legends, since they appear in writings all over the world. However, their appearance and powers differ depending on which culture you ask, which is that much more exciting and thought-provoking. Naturally, fantasy video games feature all sorts of trouble, and not always in a negative role.
DragonScales 2: Beneath a Bloodstained Moon is a match three game with various other mini-puzzles included to make the experience more diverse. In essence, your task is to place colored jewels on a board and try to match as many of them as possible. The only obstacle is the fact that these jewels can only be placed one near the other, which means that you must plan three moves at a time.
The story is not overly complex, but it should be engaging enough to keep you occupied. As such, it all revolves around Princess Claudine, who needs someone help to defeat an evil sorceress who decides to take over the world. Obviously, that someone is you, and it turns out that you were born for the job. Dragons are part of the equation as well, since the jewels you match are actually dragon scales.
Every now and again, the game challenges you to solve some kind of mini-game, or even a puzzle of sorts. In case you manage to do it, you are rewarded with coins, which come in handy later on in the game. This gimmick also breaks the monotony and allows you to forget about matching things for a moment, which is obviously a good thing.
In the graphics department, everything is more or less how you expect it to be, given the fact that it’s a casual game aimed at simple players. Hence, even if the character design and the levels are quite detailed, the textures and the visual effects are obviously very basic. The soundtrack is not very memorable either, and it can actually get repetitive after a while.
In the end, DragonScales 2: Beneath a Bloodstained Moon does not try to revolutionize the genre, but it can be very relaxing if you enjoy the genre. Moreover, the various mini-games keep you from getting bored too quickly.
