For those of you that loved playing as a divinity in Doodle God and create almost anything you could think of using the building blocks of life (fire, water, earth, and air), the same company now brings you Doodle Creatures HD, another addictive experience that places you in the shoes of a geneticist.

While in Doodle God, players would have to start from a few simple elements and create all sorts of complex things by combining them in various ways, Doodle Creatures starts by giving you a few creature categories with which you can start your crazy experiments.

The game doesn't allow you to combine creatures with one another but, instead, it gives you the tools needed to scan their DNA and extract their most common features.

After obtaining the genetic code of each creature you can easily combine the available animals with one of the genes in your inventory and see what comes out. For example, you could combine a cat with the predator gene and get a lion. At the same time, a parrot combined with the small gene will result into a hummingbird and so on.

Besides its clever gene combination mechanics, Doodle Creatures also offers precious information regarding the animals you discover. To make it even more interesting, the game also gives you the chance to create mythological creatures such as unicorns, dragons, and more.

When you want to step down from the main quest, you can try your luck with some of the challenges available in Puzzle mode. Here you will have to do your best and create and Eagle from a Mosquito, or an Unicorn from a Rat, or even a mighty dragon from a simple worm.

Doodle Creatures is an addictive puzzle game that makes you feel like your playing as a divinity that has the power to create new species using a wide range of different genes. This allows the game to keep things fresh and interesting making you spend quite a lot of time trying to see what creature will you manage to create next.
