Hence, the action takes place in the Middle East, where you get to witness the conflict between nations like Jordan, Syria, and Israel.

Naturally, there are campaigns you can tackle from start to finish, featuring entire wars and multiple missions one after the other. Whether you fight your way through the War of the Waters, or you attempt to survive the vicious Six Day War, the game should contain enough scenarios to keep you entertained for a long period of time. Not only that, but a map and mission editor is included as well, which can be used to create your own wars.

In essence, Divided Ground: The Middle East Conflict 1948-1973 is not exactly dedicated to beginners, although it does feature a bit of tutorial to get you started. The interface is a bit too rough and complex to help newcomers get acquainted with the genre, on the other hand, so you might want to look somewhere else if you are not a veteran.

Just like in every other wargame with turn-based elements, the graphics are nothing to write home to your mother about, since they’re not exactly bad, but not good either. They are just nice enough to make the experience a tad more atmospheric, although the old 2D perspective and hex-based maps might make it a tad difficult for you to enjoy if you have grown accustomed to modern games.

Although Divided Ground: The Middle East Conflict 1948-1973 does not really come with anything out of the ordinary in the genre and it is essentially the same as every other wargame out there, it at least provides you with a unique series of scenarios. Hence, the Middle East campaigns should be pretty new to most people, which means that you can have a lot of fun with them.
