I remember time management games form when they first started to climb their way into popularity. Simple Flash games with some basic gameplay mechanics, that’s what they were. Today, the original recipe is still intact, but a lot of variations and content have been added, which is good.

The right kind of time management evolution can be seen in Delicious: Emily's Home Sweet Home Collector's Edition, a game that’s almost perfect as far as the genre is concerned.

I was a bit surprised to see the characters in Delicious: Emily's Home Sweet Home talk about gluten-free food and GMOs but then again, time management titles aren’t just for little kids. The story and pre-level conversations are neat and humorous most of the time, making the game feel like less of a chore and more of an experience.

Adding in the house renovation extends the gameplay by a good amount and seeing the whole thing done is what drives you. However, seeing as how some of the levels are really tough, you have a long road ahead.

Thanks to its good looks, it’s rather hard to get upset with the game when you fail to get a perfect score. Delicious: Emily's Home Sweet Home does get challenging, and you feel that even more when you need the diamonds to buy house related stuff.

As for the time management gameplay, there’s nothing to object to. It all flows and works perfectly. If you get your serving priorities straight, then it’s all going to go great.

To end, Delicious: Emily's Home Sweet Home Collector's Edition is a great time management game. It forces you to do your best but in a way that doesn’t pressure you. Last but not least, the personalities of the characters make it that much better.
