Fleish & Cherry in Crazy Hotel Demo

The black and white era in television is remembered fondly by people nowadays and it is even emulated by those who want to portray a specific atmosphere. The B&W art is not yet extinct in photography or cinematography, but it is certainly gone from the cartoon world forever. Hence, kids never have to worry about not being able to enjoy a rich color palette.

Fleish & Cherry in Crazy Hotel is an adventure game in which you get to enjoy the same atmosphere one might have enjoyed in a Mickey Mouse cartoon. In fact, most of the animation style and the humor is directly borrowed from the said cartoon, which makes for a pretty funny adventure. Not only that, but the game gambles a lot on humor as well, given the fact that you are allowed to start conversations with almost all the characters.

The story revolves around Cherry, a lovely girl who’s head over heels in love with a guy by the name of Fleish. However, a villain decides to kidnap Fleish and keep him hostage, which is why Cherry goes on a quest to rescue him. Obviously, you play the role of the brave girl, and it is your duty to find clues regarding the place where your boyfriend is kept.

Since this is still an adventure game, the puzzles are important and they must provide the players with a bit of a challenge, while not being impossible either. Fleish & Cherry in Crazy Hotel manages to strike some sort of balance, but there are no brilliant puzzles as of right now, just fun ones. In fact, humor is an important piece of the game, and it truly does improve the atmosphere an awful lot.

As mentioned before, the visual style is borrowed from the 30s and it is completely black and white. However, the models are still pretty smooth and the animations are top-notch as well, especially because they emulate the ones seen in Mickey Mouse and regular cartoons. Whacky music plays in the background at the same time, just to keep you company throughout the journey.

All things considered, Fleish & Cherry in Crazy Hotel is indeed a pretty exciting adventures for the fans of the genre, even if it lacks complexity when it comes to the puzzles. It looks great and it keeps you smiling at all times.
