Con Amore Demo
Help a girl become a musician and find a life partner at the same time in this otome visual novel #Visual novel #Role-playing game #Dating sim #Novel #Dating #Sim
Otome visual novels put you in the role of a girl instead of a man, which means that there are many differences when it comes to the things they want and how they go about getting them. On the other hand, visual novels are not very interactive anyway, so the differences are minimal in regards to gameplay. Moreover, the genre is usually combined with a dating sim as well, just to spice things up a little bit.
Con Amore is an otome visual novel in which you play the role of a girl by the name of Claudia, although you have the liberty to change her name as you see fit at the beginning. The game also features dating sim elements, given the fact that you must interact with a couple of boys and maybe choose one to be your partner toward the end, although nothing is exactly forced upon you.
As for the story, things are kept pretty simple and straightforward, in the sense that there are no great revelations to keep you up at night. Hence, Claudia is a nice girl who wants to become a musician, and luck has it that she finds herself in the middle of the business one day. In order to make it, on the other hand, she must take the right decisions and follow a successful path.
Since this is an interactive visual novel, you are allowed to make choices every now and again, choices that affect the plot and the way your character ends up at its conclusion. There’s also a little dress up game that allows you to decide Claudia’s outfit at the beginning of each in-game day, which is a nice touch. All the other decisions affect your relationships with other characters, and there are obviously multiple endings you can reach.
As for the graphics, the artwork is not exactly extraordinary, especially since the character look a bit strange from an anatomical point of view. Even so, nothing’s that disturbing, so you should be able to enjoy the atmosphere and pay attention to the story. The music isn’t that bad either, but there’s nothing too memorable about it, unfortunately.
When it’s all said and done, Con Amore is a pretty fun visual novel, at least if you are a fan of the otome subgenre. On the other hand, it can also be a bit rough for some people, depending on how much emphasis you put on the story.
