Code of Honor: The French Foreign Legion Demo
A soldier in the French Foreign Legion must stop a full-blown revolution on the Ivory Coast #French Foreign Trailer #Code of Honor #Ivory Coast #Demo #Foreign #French
Although the military is not particularly attractive for everyone, the French Foreign Legion has always captured the interest of people, mainly due to the fact that they accept people from all over the world into their ranks. It is also known that the soldiers fighting for the Legion are among the toughest and meanest out there, which certainly sparkles the interest.
Code of Honor: The French Foreign Legion is a game that gives you the opportunity to play as one of these elite soldiers and take part in a variety of dangerous missions all the way in Africa, on the Ivory Coast. Here, a revolution has begun, fueled by the fact that the European countries are supplying the government forces in an attempt to stop the uprising and restore the peace.
Your role is to infiltrate various rebel bases and take them out, as well as destroy vital objectives throughout the country, such as a dangerous transport of radioactive waste, which could potentially be used to create some sort of nuclear bombs. Since you are also the leader of the operation, most of the responsibility falls upon you, as you are always battling alone throughout the game.
Although the game tries to emphasize on some French Foreign Legion values, such as honor, respect and discipline, the action and the gameplay mechanics are not that different from any other shooter, except for the fact that you and the enemies die much faster. In this regard, the title may feature a bit more realism than your average shooter, but it does play the same once you get passed this minor difference.
Graphically speaking, you should not be disappointed by the visual appearance of the game, especially since it features some pretty high-end special effects and more than satisfying high-resolution textures for weapons and the environment. The landscapes, however, do not offer too much diversity, although the location itself is a bit featureless and desolated, given the fact that most of it is covered by desert.
In the end, Code of Honor: The French Foreign Legion may hold some nice idea, plot-wise, but they do not interfere almost at all with the actual game, since it is rather hard to implement ideas such as loyalty, courage or discipline into the gameplay mechanics. Other than that, you should be able to enjoy the missions, especially since they are pretty difficult and varied.
