You can be a man, a woman, a transgender or a non-binary, not to mention the fact that your background is customizable as well. Every scene allows you to make a choice that affects the following events, which means that there’s rarely a dull moment.

Besides using magic and fighting for what you believe in, there’s also the possibility to form relationships along the way. Whether you are just looking for friends or the perfect partner, Choice of Magics allows you to pick anyone as your love interest. You can also collect various items along the way, some of which have a great impact on the story and some of the characters.

Given its length and the plethora of possibilities, Choice of Magics is the perfect choice for fantasy enthusiasts out there, especially since you can go through multiple playthroughs and experience new things every time. Granted, the entire adventure must take place in your imagination, given the text-based interface, but that shouldn’t be a problem if you are an avid reader.
