Blade of Arena

Some of the most popular game genres in the online environment right now are the MMORPGs, the MOBAs, and the Battle-Royale genres, so in theory, a mix of these elements should mean the recipe for success. Blade of Arena is a cute attempt at combining all three genres into a singular title, and it manages to create something quite exciting to play.

The game is quite large considering that it is just a demo, as you have pretty large maps, graphics that are quite on par with today's standards, and plenty of monsters and skills to justify the use of a powerful PC. Character creation is quite extensive as well, as you get to choose between genders, and several appearance options, as classes are inexistent in this game. You all start with a sword and a shield, and your goal is to wander the map looking for a monster to kill so that you can get stronger, and eventually meet with the other players on the map and face off against each other in a deathmatch where the last one standing si left the victor.

As the game progresses, your chances of meeting other players increase greatly,  and at this point, you must defeat them all to survive. If you're the top player in the match, you'll gain the ability to turn into a powerful dragon so that you can destroy anyone else that is left. However, if you're in the top 5 left, there's still a chance at victory if you manage to defeat the player-turned-dragon.

Blade of Arena may seem like an uncut diamond at this point, but it shows great potential, especially given the unique premise and gameplay mechanics, making it a game worth trying.
