Amaranthine Voyage: The Burning Sky is an adventure game with hidden object mechanics and plenty of puzzles to keep you busy for a long time. The whole thing also takes place in a different dimension where dinosaurs roam free alongside people, so it should be right on your alley if you like fantasy stories with a dash of sci-fi.

In this case, the plot revolves around Eve Glover as she travels to another dimension in search of adventure and new experiences. She stumbles upon a world where dinosaurs and people live together, but there’s a problem: A meteor that’s about to hit the planet. Hence, Eve’s mission is to somehow stop the asteroid and save both the dinosaurs and their tamers.

For the fans of the genre, the gameplay mechanics should be extremely familiar, since everything revolves around finding the right clues and investigating every scene as closely as possible. Every now and again things get a bit tougher, especially when you have to tackle puzzles that require you to put your mind to work, even if most of them are the same.

As far as the graphics are concerned, there are only static backgrounds to look at, but they are incredibly detailed, even if nothing moves. There is a layer of post-processing effects added on top, which works wonders in the atmosphere department. Speaking of which, the cutscenes are nicely designed too, and the soundtrack helps a lot as well.

In the end, Amaranthine Voyage: The Burning Sky features all the right elements to provide you with many hours of entertainment. Granted, it can be a tad too straightforward if you want a true challenge, but it’s the perfect way to relax for a while.
