Ahmaret's Curse

Since ancient times man has always had a sense of adventure, and a desire for wealth and fame. So has Bruce, a lifeguard who’s a bit of a coward but with enough courage to embark on a grand quest.

Ahmaret's Curse is built using pixel graphics and smooth animations that really compliment gameplay. There is a lot of attention given to details and you can see that in every little piece of the world as you head deeper and deeper into the jungles of this ancient place.

Traditional to platformers, you get a few keys with which to control your character, have him jump and double-jump as well as shoot a variety of weapons. You get to collect gems, weapons, temporary power-ups and at times you’re even joined by NPCs in your noble and somehow greedy quest.

World design is great and the more you progress into the game the more it changes appearance and how some things work. Along with the seemingly never repeating scenarios, Ahmaret's Curse also contains plenty of mechanics that keep the game interesting.

He can grab on to ledges, slide down a ramp, swim underwater and other stuff that you discover as you play. Moreover, in your journey you encounter several types of foes which you have to defeat but it’s not always easy. Webs from woman-spider hybrids can slow you down with their webs and the same can happen if you accidentally fall into a mud golem’s pit.

On a closing note, Ahmaret's Curse is a platformer that’s worth your time. It has really good graphics, pleasant sound effects and soundtrack, a large variety of unique characters and plenty of action to keeps you on your toes.
