A bit of humor can also go a long way to make your product more appealing and enjoyable for the fans, as long as the theme of the game allows it. Hence, simple arcade games can quickly turn into massive bestsellers and even compete with triple-A titles.

Aaaaa! is a special kind of video game, since it utilizes a very simple and common idea at its core, but the presentation is good enough to outshine the rest of the competition in its niche. As such, the point is to avoid hitting the objects coming toward you, gathering points and even performing a stunt or two along the way, to earn the admiration of the fans watching from the sidelines.

However, you do so by jumping off futuristic skyscrapers, which makes the experience that much more intense and enjoyable. Huge concrete blocks sit between you and the landing zone, which means that you have to be very careful when it comes to free falling without the parachute deployed. In essence, the chute is only used for landing, but it can also come in handy if you intend on going down slowly and picking up every bonus along the way.

On your way down, a variety of different bonuses can be picked up, most of which provide you with additional points that count toward the final score. There are some other bonuses as well, though, such as speed boosters, or the hugs and the kisses. These are achieved by flying very close to buildings. The hugs and kisses are transformed into points at the end of the fall.

Finally, a rating is awarded, which is dependent on the total amount of points gathered on your way down. The more stars you get, the more teeth you are rewarded with. Weird as it may sound, teeth are the in-game currency and they allow you to unlock new levels. Speaking of which, there are plenty of different stages you can unlock and enjoy, each one of which has a unique flavor about it.

Aaaaa! is indeed fun and brilliant in its own way, but the experience can get rather repetitive and boring after a few hours of gameplay. You can go back to it every once in a while, but after each level is completed, the fun kind of subsides, which leaves you with a rather low replayability potential.
