A.V. Demo
A first-person puzzle game in which you play as a sentient music program inside the digital world #First person game #Puzzle game #Control AI #AI #First-person #Puzzle
A.V. is a first person game in which the players control a musical program that has become self-aware, and that’s trying to make sensed of the world.
Making something unique is always difficult for people and studios, especially after decades of continuous gaming development. If you take into consideration that A.V. is trying to innovate in the FPS genre, then the effort of the guys from FirstForever Studios is all the more impressive. When you think that you’ve seen pretty much anything that can be done in an FPS, you get surprised by a new game is completely different.
A.V. can be considered to be FPS (without the shooting part), but it’s actually just a very complex puzzle game with an interesting story and gameplay mechanic. You get to shooter aliens, but you don’t really need to. It’s stressful enough just to solve some of the puzzles, lets alone face some dangers along the way as well.
You’re a music program that somehow became sentient. You don’t know why or how, but you are aware of yourself, and you begin a journey of discovery in the digital world. You’re bound to that world, but you can move around, and you have a few tools to help you.
First of all, if you’re a program you don’t have eyes, but you can perceive the environment with the help of sounds, much like a sonar. This also means that you constantly need to check out where you are, because you’re blind in every other respect.
You also have some powers, also related to music, which help you navigate the world, like freezing objects, or activating switches. Everything is done with the help of sounds, and you only know that you have to move forward.
The program narrates his journey, and you’re just trying to solve each room so that you can move on to the next. The demo level only has the first three levels. A.V. is built on the Unity engine, so the system requirements are not all that high and pretty much anyone with a five-year only computer will be able to play in.
