1001 Jigsaw World Tour: Asia
Solve jigsaw puzzles and visit the lovely continent of Asia in this colorful puzzle game with simple mechanics #Jigsaw puzzles #Adventure game #Puzzle game #Puzzle #Adventure #Asia
Traveling around the world is something most people want to do, but it’s not particularly affordable, not to mention that it takes time and sometimes effort. On the other hand, technology allows people to achieve things that weren’t possible a few decades ago, especially thanks to the Internet. Hence, you can experience other cultures and even marvel at beautiful landscapes without even leaving your home.
1001 Jigsaw World Tour: Asia is a simple puzzle game that allows you to put your imagination to the test and take a virtual trip while you are at it. There are no ingenious gameplay mechanics at work, on the other hand, so you need to make do with the same boring drag & drop motions like in all the other jigsaw games. Even so, it’s the pictures that make or break the experience, and they are quite gorgeous in this case.
As the name clearly implies, the images represent various landscapes and traditions from around the Asian continent, including natural scenes or cityscapes. You can pick from a variety of difficulty levels as well, although that only affects the number of pieces you have to deal with. On top of that, sometimes the pieces have to be rotated, which makes the puzzles a tad tougher.
The actual gameplay is about as simple as it gets, given the fact that all you have to do is use the mouse to move the pieces around and make sure you put them in the correct position. You can also use a few helpful tools to lend you hand if you are having trouble completing the puzzles, such as a transparent version of the full picture at all times to help you along.
Not much can be said about the graphics either, given the fact that there are no 3D objects and no complex interface items to talk about. However, the images are sharp and they come in high resolution for the most part, which is obviously important in this case. It’s a bit annoying that the whole puzzle snaps to center whenever you complete the borders, because the free pieces remain on top and you really have to strain your eyes sometimes to find them.
In the end, 1001 Jigsaw World Tour: Asia is obviously not a revolutionary game, but it has enough content to keep you busy for a while. The interface is clean and helpful, so even complete beginners have an easy time learning the ropes.
