Zombie Infiltration
Defend against a zombie invasion in this very basic first-person shooter sporting gray graphics #Zombie game #Survival game #First-person shooter #Shooter #Zombie #FPS
Zombies are almost everywhere now when it comes to video games, and if they aren’t at first, usually a DLC makes sure they are added. However, survival shooters are the most popular, and there are quite a few good ones out there. On the other hand, it’s likely that if you play one you play them all, because the mechanics are usually the same.
Zombie Infiltration is as basic as it can get when it comes to first-person shooters, which makes it difficult to enjoy for more than a few minutes. Hence, the only goal is to survive in an arena for as long as you can while trying to fend off the zombie attacks. You have a basic gun at your disposal, which thankfully does not run out of ammunition too easily.
The first thing you notice is how small the level is, since all you have at your disposal is a room with a few smaller rooms carved into the floor. There is nothing else but walls and gray floors around you, so the atmosphere is certainly boring to say the least. The action itself is repetitive and emotionless as well, with no feedback from the weapon and no actual sense of danger.
Every zombie looks the same, and all you need to do is point your weapon at them and shoot until they drop. There’s no recoil, so it feels like shooting a laser instead, not to mention the fact that it takes dozens of bullets to put one zombie down. They also appear out of nowhere and can attack you through walls if you stand in a certain range, which is as annoying as it sounds.
Lastly, no positive things can be said about the visual quality either, since everything is just a sea of gray, starting with the walls, all the way to your weapon and the zombies. Barely any effort went into the level design as well, so it always feels like you are inside an untextured 3D model rather than an actual building.
All things considered, Zombie Infiltration has almost nothing to offer, which means that you are better off trying any other game instead. The survival aspects are missing, the graphics are poor, and the action is both repetitive and pointless, since it doesn’t feel like you are shooting zombies to stay alive.
