Driving a truck is not an easy task, not even under ideal conditions. Almost everything is more difficult to achieve in a truck than in a regular car, including steering, parking and generally moving in traffic. Granted, trucks usually have to avoid crowded city centers or tight parking spots, but there are many situations when a lot of skill is required to overcome certain obstacles.

Truck Driver Steep Road is a driving game in which your skills and patience are put to the test, given the fact that the goal is to drive a truck through a variety of challenging situations in order to get fragile loads to their destination. Although you shouldn’t expect an actual simulation when it comes to physics, the experience is challenging enough to keep you on edge.

To begin with, each mission is designed to be as tough as possible when it comes to the terrain, since there are all sorts of holes and impediments in the road that cause your cargo to move or even fly out of the truck. The trick is to move slowly and avoid as many obstacles as possible, but sometimes a bit of luck helps a lot if you don’t have the patience to drive slowly.

One of the annoying things about the game is that you have to hoard currency in order to unlock the other levels, which is not that easy to achieve. This is mainly because it takes a lot of time to complete each level, and it’s never enough to complete a stage once to unlock the next one. Hence, it gets repetitive in a rush, especially later on when the levels are more difficult.

Lastly, the graphics are nothing to write home about either, given the fact that the trucks are poorly modeled and the environments are just a couple of hills and the occasional tree. This doesn’t really matter as long as the physics are decent, but in this case they can be a bit exaggerated. Even the slightest bump in the road can cause your logs to jump out of the trailer, which causes a lot of unnecessary frustration.

All things considered, Truck Driver Steep Road is still a fairly interesting and challenging driving game, especially if you don’t like to back down from a seemingly impossible task. However, you have to accept the repetitive gameplay as well.
