Tractor Game

People have managed to race in about any kind of vehicle, including boats, bicycles and cars. Granted, not everything is designed to endure the hardships of racing, but the thrill is what makes people want to watch it. Tractors are obviously not designed to be used on the race track, given the fact that they are slow and big, but with enough dedication, they could certainly be made entertaining.

Tractor Game is a weird racing game with arcade gameplay mechanics, in which the goal is to drive as quickly as possible, while also collecting all the points along the way. The more points you collect, the higher the score at the end of each round, and you can also improve your time as well. Granted, it’s not a very exciting prospect, but at least it’s something different.

The tractor you drive is not particularly fast, but it can be difficult to control when you try to steer and keep a steady acceleration at the same time. Naturally, the aerodynamics make it difficult to take turns the proper way, but then again you are also going much slower, so you can get away with unorthodox driving more often than in an actual racing car.

One of the most interesting things you can do in the game is the fact that you can always just leave the road and go have some fun on the field, even if the level design is boring enough to discourage such behavior. There’s nothing to see but grass and the occasional hill, but at least you feel like you have the freedom to do whatever you want with the vehicle.

As for the graphics, they are not particularly impressive in any regard, but they aren’t ugly either. You can tell that a moderate amount of work went into the tractor itself, especially since you have the option to change its color. Again, the level design is very disappointing, mainly because it wouldn’t have been so difficult to make exploration a bit more rewarding.

Even if Tractor Game lacks what it needs to win a permanent place on your hard drive, it can be relatively entertaining over short periods of time. Moreover, racing around in tractors is quite unusual, so it can be tantalizing at first.
