Designed originally for mobile devices, Total Conquest is now available for all Windows 8 users as a free download from the Windows Store. The game puts you in the shoes of a Roman governor seeking to take control over the entire empire after the death of Caesar.

As soon as you've heard about Caesar's death, you quickly start to recruit new troops in an attempt to become the new ruler of the Roman Empire. Guided by the gods, you must do your best to build a massive city that can withstand the attacks of your neighbors and, at the same time, to provide powerful units that can help you destroy the enemy's establishments.

To achieve that, you will have to construct lots of structures and build a great economy that can constantly provide resources for your ongoing campaign.

Upgrading your buildings is another aspect that you should consider whenever you have the required resources, as they can offer better troops and more resources to make your empire grow faster.

The single player campaign comes with lots of challenging missions spanning over several hours that will put your strategy skills to the test.

Speaking about constructions, you should always keep in mind that building defenses has a very important part in the game, as this is the only way you can protect your city from invaders that will try to steal your precious resources. A well thought city defense might as well give you a fighting chance against higher level troops.

Social features are also present in Total Conquest allowing you to connect with your friends and other players from all over the world in massive guilds called Legions. Whether you join a Legion or create your own, this will allow you to get reinforcements from other players and participate in great Legion Wars that will help you increase the Legion's ranking and earn cool rewards.
