The Bricksperience

If you’ve missed out on playing with legos as a kid, or you’re all grown up and can’t do that anymore, The Bricksperience might be your ticket out of this predicament. It’s a first-person casual game in which you play from the perspective of a little lego man, and you can build all kinds of stuff.

The Bricksperience is in early stages of development, and there is a lot of work that’s left to be put in. Right now, the game offers a number of sets which you can use to build several scenes and vehicles.

You get a town square, a race car, a summer cottage, breakdown assistance and others. When you choose to build a selected set, you’re left in large empty room or space, and all the pieces that belong to that set are scattered all around.

You’ll need to find each one and deliver it to the building spot, after which you can drop it in its proper place. It’s all fairly straightforward and easy to manage. Actually it’s as intuitive as it is to build using the Legos themselves, plus, there are no blocks to step on.

The Bricksperience provides a few features that are well thought out and grant the game a bit more depth. Playing, you get to earn Bricksperience, which can then be used to unlock various skills and abilities.

For example, you can purchase one or more inventory slots in which to store the bricks you collect, something that can really ease your work. One skill enables you to highlight a piece that you need, or you can have a 3D arrow guide you to a specific brick.

The Bricksperience is an indie game that’s not backed up by Lego so there are no guarantees for when the game will be completed. If it will be. Until then, you have plenty to do in it but keep in mind that this is an early version. Expect some bugs.
