Space Brewers
Build your own brewery in space and try to make the most popular beer in the universe. #Strategy game #Building game #Space sandbox #Brewery #Beer #Space
A family business is almost a thing of the past nowadays, mainly because it’s easier to build something and quickly sell it to the highest bidder instead of working to maintain a company for decades to come. Granted, the money remains in the family, so maybe it’s not so bad after all, except that many youngsters fail to do anything productive with the money they inherit.
Space Brewers is a strategy game with an emphasis on economy and base-building, because there are no armies to train and no enemies to conquer in battle. Instead, you must build a brewery and do your best to produce the best beer out there, which is no easy task when your whole clientele is formed out of a bunch of drunks that can barely walk upright.
To begin with, you can choose from one of the available families before you start building the new empire, although the family does not have too much of an impact on the gameplay. After that, you begin by erecting a couple of must-have facilities, such as kegs and kettles. Detox areas are vital as well, because they are needed in order to get the drunks back on their feet.
As for the gameplay, there’s not much to do other than looking at the map and erecting buildings whenever you’ve got enough currency. You have four characters under your control that can build and repair structures, although it must be noted that they are not very sober either. Other than that, the game is more of a sim than a strategy flick, and the interface is simple enough to make everything feel easy.
The graphics are quite impressive, on the other hand, especially when you consider the fact that the game was designed in Unity. The maps are quite detailed and full of interesting objects, even if they are rather small and basic when it comes to the layout. Even the music is engaging, although it gets repetitive after a while.
In the end, Space Brewers is quite an interesting idea, but it’s not a fully-fledged game yet. Thus, it needs more content before it’s able to keep players engaged for more than an hour or so, as well as some kind of campaign or story.
