Basic laws of physics dictate that heavy objects moving fast tend to unleash quite a bit of energy when they smash against other objects, which is why car crashes are so dangerous. However, modern vehicles have a multitude of safety measures in place to protect the drivers and the passengers, although there’s nothing a car can do to stop a person from using a mobile phone while driving.

Sex Drive is a fun game in which you play the role of a vegetable cruising around town in a car, trying to sext with that special someone at the same time. As you may have guessed, the trick is to keep texting while avoiding the pedestrians that seem to have invaded the streets. The game is obviously quite naughty, but there are no actual bad words used, just amusing innuendo usually involving vegetables of all kind.

In order to keep on driving, you must keep the adjacent “juice” bar filled at all times, by sending the correct texts back to your partner. To do this, you must shuffle through the few available answers and pick the one you think works best. If the answer is satisfactory, you are rewarded with juice, which keeps the game over screen away.

Since your character is a vegetable himself, the pedestrians you have to avoid are also anthropomorphic carrots and what not. They splatter easily, though, which means that you can hit quite a few before your bar completely empties. Thankfully, the controls are simple and quite responsive, which is definitely important if you want to do it quickly in order to return to sexting.

Visually, the game sports a retro look and pixelated graphics, but that’s certainly not a problem. You can see that the designers and the artists put a lot effort into the ridiculous vegetables cruising the streets, which makes the experience that much more fun and enjoyable. A funky soundtrack plays in the background to keep the mood sleazy, even if it’s just one cover song with silly lyrics.

When it’s all said and done, Sex Drive is by no means brilliant or a jewel when it comes to gameplay. In fact, the difficulty level is a bit too harsh and the gimmick gets repetitive in the span of a few minutes. However, the game is definitely worth a try, especially since it’s free and it can make you giggle for a while.
