Playing alone isn't all that fun, especially when the premise is that of an online RTS game where you play for dominance over large territories. As such, a title like Rise of Kingdoms is more than welcome into the gaming community.

Rise of Kingdoms originally appeared on mobile platforms, and in theory is its still exclusive to it, but due to the game's complexity and fun factor, popular demand made it so that it would eventually find its way into PC gaming. The game features extensive combat, city building mechanics, impressive graphics, real-time combat and many other elements that will surely get you hooked.

Like all similar RTS games found on both mobile platforms as well as browsers, you have to deal with waiting times. In theory, the game could be played as a single-player title, but progression will slow to a crawl at some point, so joining a guild is your best bet if you want to make it big in as little time as possible.

Unlike other similar games where you send out your army to attack something or someone, you don't just wait a few seconds and then wait for a battle report in the mail. Here you can actually see the units fighting, and can then adjust your strategy next time to get better and better. More so, the game features some degree of RPG elements as your commander has the greatest impact on the outcome of the battle, using both passive and active abilities to lead your armies to victory.

Rise of Kingdoms is probably the most complex and polished F2P game to hit the gaming industry in recent years, and despite having a paid item shop, the bonuses given are far too insignificant to even be considered a P2W title. Combat is fun, player interaction is key, and the graphics are just beautiful, all while being friendly even with the oldest of PC games.
