Quad Motorbike Challenge

Bikes are quite fun in a variety of scenarios, especially when it comes to racing. In fact, there are so many categories it’s difficult to think about all of them, which is why everyone can find something they can enjoy. One of the most popular ones are the quad bikes, or ATVs, which have four wheels instead of two and are used to tackle difficult off-road terrain.

Quad Motorbike Challenge is an arcade racing sim in which you ride quad bikes and compete with other players for the top position. Since this is a casual simulator designed to help regular gamers enjoy a bit of speed and fun, there’s no realistic physics engine and nothing else to scare people away. Instead, everything can be controlled using just a handful of keys or gamepad buttons.

As such, you can choose between a couple of different modes, such as career or quick race. Obviously, it depends on how much time you’ve got on your hands, because the actual gameplay is the same regardless of what you choose. It’s also possible to choose between sprint and circuit, and it should be fairly obvious what each of them means.

Since this isn’t a realistic simulation, it’s only natural that the controls are not exactly 100% responsive either. In fact, you can expect a lot of lag and inaccuracy, which can be a tad annoying sometimes. However, the full half of the glass is that you can perform stunts and watch slow-mo leaps whenever you accelerate before a ramp, which is just as enjoyable.

As for the graphics, the actually look pretty nice, especially when you consider the size of the game and the limited resources used to develop it. Thus, it even features post-processing effects like motion blur and bloom, which are great in racing games. On the other hand, the actual bikes and tracks are not that detailed, and you may feel like racing on the same road for hours on end sometimes.

In the end, Quad Motorbike Challenge could certainly be better, but then again it’s designed to serve as a short distraction for casual gamers. Hence, it’s not going to impress hardcore sim fans, but regular players should find a bit of lighthearted entertainment in it.
