Pyramid Solitaire Saga

A deck of cards is probably the most versatile toy you can ever have, as there are so many card-based games around there you wouldn't know with which you should start. One game that does stand out though is the everlasting Solitaire, and the rule set of this game are so known around the world that there are tens of card games based just off of it. One great example of how Solitaire has been brought to the digital era is through Pyramid Solitaire Saga, a neat card game set in ancient Egypt from the creators of the Candy Crush Saga series.

Pyramid Solitaire Saga is a pretty straightforward game from all points of view. You choose the level you want to play, you play it, and you move on. There is a story in theory, and the artwork is amazing, but in the end you never actually feel involved in any story whatsoever. The rules are pretty simple: you have a card that is already drawn, and you have to collect off of the board any card that is one above or below the one you have. If no such card exists, you draw another card from your deck and try again, and the game stops the moment you draw all the cards of your deck without managing to complete your objective.

One of the only things that could be considered a drawback with Pyramid Solitaire Saga is that levels aren't procedurally generated, and sometimes the key to victory is to select certain cards in a certain order, even if multiple choices appear to be available. Another drawback is that Pyramid Solitaire Saga uses your typical energy system, meaning that you can't play as much as you want in one go, and have to wait until your energy recharges to go another round.
