Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 made its debut a few months ago, although it wasn’t a spectacular unveiling by any means. The series may lag behind FIFA in most regards, but it still has some features that are unique to it. Hence, although there’s already a demo out there, Konami decided to release a free-to-play version of PES 2016, one that includes and revolves around the intriguing myClub mode.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 myClub allows you full access to the myClub mode, which is where you can create your very own team and fill it with the desired players. You can also train the said players and increase their skill rating, although it takes a pretty long time to do so. The fun is in the journey, because you get to really appreciate certain players for their ability to shoot, pass or tackle.

This version also comes with the Exhibition mode unlocked, which means that you can play against the AI with any of the available teams. There are also plenty of stadiums to choose from and other settings to fiddle with, so it should be easy to get your soccer fix when you need it. On the other hand, the online capability is disabled, so you cannot match your skills against other players.

myClub is the bread and butter of the game, however, because it provides players with a lot of content, as well as weekly events that change on a regular basis. Hence, you’ll be doing something new every week, which helps a lot with the monotony. You also have access to various skill training mini-games, which can be quite fun.

As far as the technical side is concerned, everything is the same as in the full version of the game, including the graphics and everything else. Even the commentary is included, as well as all the other sounds that make up the general atmosphere. On the other hand, you obviously have to be connected to the Internet in order to enjoy the myClub events, so you need a good connection too.

Even if you do not have access to league mode or online multiplayer, Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 myClub still has enough content to lure in soccer fans. The simulation is exciting enough to be worthwhile, especially since the entire thing is free-to-play.
