Oh...Sir!

There are many stereotypes out there when it comes to the British, some of which are just actual observations. The fact that they drink a lot of tea is pretty much a fact, given its popularity in that region of the world. However, it is also common belief that they come up with the most ingenious and hilarious insults, which is in part thanks to their unique accent and vocabulary.

Oh...Sir! is an insult simulator that can be enjoyed in local multiplayer with a friend, although it is obviously designed to be played with an enemy instead. In short, your task is to form insults using the words and phrases that are available on the screen, in order to hurt your adversary and cause him to give up. There is no hardcore profanity involved, on the other hand, so it’s not really something to get upset over.

Each player gets a few seconds to choose one of the desired insults, although you can only pick one at a time. Besides the random phrases that are printed on the screen, your character can also add a few of his own, although the choices are rather limited. Thankfully, you can refresh your imagination by sipping a bit of tea, which instantly provides you with new words and ideas.

Each insult is worth a certain amount of points, which are then deducted from your opponent’s hit points. The goal is to score as many points as possible, because there is no way to defend against attacks. However, given the fact that both players pick from the same pile of phrases, it can happen that one of the participants is left without a proper sentence structure.

In the technical department, there is obviously not a lot you can complain about, since it really doesn’t matter how the game looks. The characters are blocky and look British enough, which is thanks to the hats and the glorious mustaches. There is voice acting to convey the resulting insults, although the audio chopping is quite obvious in most cases.

All things being equal, Oh...Sir! probably won’t keep you amused for more than a few minutes, but it’s definitely an enjoyable experience. Thus, if you want to unleash the tea-powered British fury on your nemesis, this is the game to make the job a bit easier.
