That's exactly the recipe behind the making of Ode to a Moon, a neat 3D psychotropic horror game where you have to explore your surroundings and find hidden secret

You play as a photo-journalist for a popular tabloid, and your job is to write a cover story about the historic fall festival in a far away rural town during a centennial lunar eclipse.  While this may seem like your typical walk in the park, everything is turned upside-down as everything you know to be real fades into the nothingness of madness.

The game is made to be perceived as through the lens of your trusty handheld camera, with the occasional ripples that would be expected with a low-quality and dated device. Everything is designed to eerie and non-realistic, and the music goes along pretty well, as everything before you seems to ripple out of existence.

The game shifts in and out between different times of the day, further enhancing the erratic nature of the game, as you slowly but surely lose touch of what is real and what is fake. The game world is design to be enchanting to the point where it could almost be perceived as entrapping for some, and you end up slowly drawn into the mysteries of the night which you try to bring into the light.

The games uniqueness from both a visual and a storytelling POV are what make Ode to a Moon a game worth having, and it will definitely be a game you will remember every time the night falls and the moon rises.
