Because there is no story, the only logical incentive to make you play NEON is the wish to get a score that is higher than anything you've ever gotten before, and that too is yet another trope of early arcade games. While repetitive to some, fans of runners, cyber ninjas and neon colors might find themselves getting scores that could be measured in the millions without noticing how time has passed.
