Monster Idle

Clicker games are probably the most passive forms of gaming entertainment in existence, but they are definitely very popular, especially among those that don't have all that much time to spend gaming. Monster Idle is one such idle clicker game that's all wrapped up in a monstrous skin, as you play as a party of creepy fiends out to increase the number of your victims.

Because of the simplistic gameplay mechanics, clickers will usually come bearing some sort of art style or theme that will set it apart from the rest, or at least an extremely memorable soundtrack. Unfortunately, Monster Idle is not one of those games, as it features good 8 bit graphics that is mixed in with artwork that you can find all over the Internet. More so, the soundtrack can get annoying at some point, and you wonder why they never used  copyright free music instead.

So you click on your victim and it will drop and be added to your currency. You then use the gathered currency to either hire monsters that improve the power of your clicks, or monsters that passively hunt for more victims for you. And with these two sentences you'd pretty much wrapped up the entire premise of the game. Admittedly, you do get the occasional bonus drops and clickable targets that give massive loot bonuses, but sadly this trick isn't enough to prevent the game from getting boring after 10 minutes.

While it does look like a work in progress, Monster Idle has a long way to go if it wants to be remembered along with other more well-made games. This doesn't make it a bad game, just that there are other alternatives out there.
