Lost in the Backrooms

The Backrooms is a really scary creepypasta that appeared on the Internet some time ago and it has become the source material for plenty of games. The premise of The Backrooms is fairly simple: you suddenly wake up in what seems to be an endless corridor of rooms and corridors that look the same, which seem to have no end at all. Lost in the Backrooms is a 3D horror survival game based on that creepypasta, and it will definitely send chills down your spine.

Lost in the Backrooms adds a whole new level of terror to the story, by adding stairs to upper and lower levels, as well as making a portion of the game explorable in pitch darkness with nothing but  a flashlight. The levels are procedurally generated right in front of your eyes, as door appears into walls in an extremely disturbing manner. More so, you occasionally find recordings of someone who's been trapped in the backrooms before you, and he may sometimes give you tips or a heads-up regarding what's to come.

Adding stairs to the backrooms now makes things a whole lot more interesting since it may give you some false sense of hope that either going only down or only up will eventually mean you'll find the exit faster. Of course, being good or bad at getting out of mazes is just part of the problem, since you also have to make sure you don't bump into the malevolent forces that are shambling through the corridors from time to time, looking to keep you there forever.

Lost in the Backrooms is indeed a worthy title in the horror survival genre, and it does the backrooms creepypasta great justice,spicing things up with the new themes, levels, visual designs and the fact that the backrooms shift right in front of your eyes.
