Hence, there are many brilliant examples out on the market, including blockbusters such as Angry Birds, which was released on every possible platform after it scored high on mobile devices.

Goo Ball Madness is an arcade game in which you take control over a ball made of goo and try to direct it through a maze, in order to collect the rest of the goo bits and get to the end of the level. There’s not much else going on when it comes to story or characters, so you have to rely on the game’s ability to capture your interest in order to keep yourself entertained.

Speaking of which, the stages get increasingly more difficult as you advance through them, even if they come in a rather limited amount as of right now. In essence, you need to carefully navigate narrow edges and fit through tight spaces in order to get the necessary items, while also getting from one area to the other and finding the exit.

Controlling the ball is done using the classic WASD keys, which means that it should come natural to anyone who’s familiar with the setup. On the other hand, considering the fact that there is no use for the mouse in-game, it would have been a useful feature to be able to change the controls to use the directional keys on the keyboard.

The technical aspect is actually quite messy as a whole, when it comes down to it. The graphics are very simple and unimpressive, with simple two-colored textures covering everything inside the game. Thankfully, the physics governing the ball movements are convincing enough, which makes it rather intuitive to control it around the stages.

In the end, Goo Ball Madness can be the perfect solution to your boredom every once in a while, especially if you need a quick fix. On the other hand, it is too short and unpolished to represent the kind of game you go back to very often, or even remember after the first playthrough.
